PokerBot is a robotic poker card dealer.
I designed and developed PokerBot as part of an undergraduate course project. It is a 4-DOF serial manipulator inspired by the MeArm, created to perform a practical, real-world task. I engineered the custom base, chassis, and linkages in SolidWorks and fabricated them using an FDM 3D printer with PLA filament. Additionally, I designed and built a pneumatic end effector for picking up playing cards. To enhance performance, I fine-tuned the motor drivers’ acceleration profiles for smooth, visually appealing movements.
